We spotted our friend Hanna Verboom wearing Blue Blood at the presentation of the new season of a couple of Dutch television channels.
Thanks Hanna, blue looks good on you!
Sorry to our international friends; this song is in Dutch! We would like to thank Dio, Reverse, Adje, Sef & Jayh for using the lyric: ‘Wat weet je van Blue Blood?!’ (1:22) in their new song called ‘Wat weet je nou’.
We think it is pretty cool so: Thank You !
Shane Shu is a music artist, photographer, and peripheral visionary. He came to Holland when he was 18. Describing his style of music in a few words is impossible. We’ll let him try, shall we? Shane: ‘The sound and writing is unlike any other Dutch artist. A well-written and credible pop album with intelligent arrangements.’
The new Shane Shu single is called ‘Can You Help Me’ and has an amazing video! The story of the video is also the story of the song: with a lot of social media ‘friends’ one can still feel lonely and in need of help from real friends. ‘Can You Help Me’ is the second single of the forthcoming album ‘Let’s Burn This Town’ (release October 8th, 2010). The video feautures a lot of our Blue Blood friends like Covergirl Sunny, Hanna Verboom & Willa Stoutenbeek (amongs many others).
We at Blue Blood are very pleased we can support our team of choice in fun style this year. We think you all will understand that we (being a Dutch brand) do prefer the orange ones! Happy Socks have collaborated with designer Stephan Wong, head of NY design collective Wong Wong and former Art Director of Helmut Lang Studios. With inspiration from the world of football, the collection pays homage to the rich football history of eight nations from across the globe.
The World Cup Happy Socks are available at our Blue Blood store right now. So come to our P.C.Hooftstraat store and support your team in style!
Recently Parra has joined up with Toykyo to design a new set of porcelain sculptures. The ‘Not So Happy Birds’ are limited to only 25 colours each, 20 cm tall. Check out Toykyo and Rockwell Clothing for more information.
At Blue Blood we’re all about Family and Friends… We actually aim to treat all of our Friends as if they were Family. We feel a Family connection is something special which should be cherished.
So when we came across this beautiful father and daughter portrait in Dutch magazine Jantje our hearts and eyes lighted up.
One of Holland’s greatest rock heroes and a dear friend of ours Barry Hay (front man of the Golden Earring) and his daughter Gina.
Gina is dressed in the Blue Blood pyjama jacket and Barry is wearing a pair of Blue Blood jeans in this great captured moment.
