The Wooden Heap by Boris Dennler

Designed by Boris Dennler, the Wooden Heap collection was created for people to look beyond the appearance of something. Instead of taking the traditional shape of drawers or cabinets, the Wooden Heap collection takes cues from the past in which objects often hid their true purposes.

We think Boris Dennler’s designs look amazing, please feel free to let us know what you think.

A page of light..

There’s always those moments when you need light and can’t quite flip the switch. Or when you are out in public in some dimly lit restaurant that makes it impossible to read the menu. Or having trouble reading in the dark at home but you don’t want to light up the whole room. In those situations the Lightleaf is perfect. Almost as thin as paper, the entire surface illuminates to a satisfying glow. And it is wirelessly rechargeable. (Designed by Valentina Trimani)

A pretty amazing piece of design, don’t you think?

Unusual USB sticks..

imm Living’s objective is to address notions of the past and present, by creating designs which draw from the traditional and popular cultures of our world today. Their products marry functionality with a playful sensibility towards design. As varied as the people who are behind each project, our work is injected with rich meaning and evokes emotion between objects and people. Our attention was extracted to their range of functional but playful USB sticks.

The USB Key assumes the form of the common key. Attach it to your key chain for everyday use.

This lucky charm inspired the design for the Four-Leafed Clover USB/Bookmark. Carry it with you to attract fortuity.

Remember the cool kids who carried their combs in the back pocket of their blue jeans?

Its geek chic silhouette pays tribute to nerd culture.

The “Wisdom” USB adapts this ancient aboriginal belief to our contemporary setting of digital access and communication.

Espace Ephémère Tuileries

Our fellow Dutchies Viktor & Rolf, showed their collection @ the Paris Fashion Week last week. We’re proud to say that we’re from Amsterdam and part of that might have something to do with V&R. Amsterdam once was only famous for legalized soft drugs and prostitution. But now we’re internationally known for architecture, design and fashion. Don’t you agree with us that V&R did a great job on their SS10 collection…

Cornelie Tollens ft. Parra

Our friend Cornelie Tollens has collaborated with Parra to create this awesome photoserie for Glamcult called “You might as well face it you’re addicted to love”.

The photography, done by Cornelie, was overlayered with the infamous Parra characters. The end result looks really cool.

Cornelie is expert in photoseries with a very teasing edge to them. It is basically her trademark. Her models, mostly posing semi-nude,  have a dirty-flirt look going on. Cornelie plays with sexuality in a female-friendly way.

Definitely something to check out!
