Last week some awesome sneakers arrived at our Blue Blood store in the PC Hooftstraat in Amsterdam! Coming from LA, sneaker brand Stampd’ is a huge success! Prior to setting up Stampd’, designer Chris Stamp used to paint his graphics on Chuck Taylor’s and Toms. He got such a rush from this that he decided to launch a website whereby consumers were able to design there “one of a kind” sneaker. This was a huge success that led to Chris Stamp starting up his own brand. He uses these sneakers as a source to portray his vision of what streetwear really is today and aims therefore to bring fun back into this scene. Both male and female sneakers are now available in our store. Here is a sneak preview.

Can’ wait to have them? Run to our Blue Blood PC Hoofstraat store before there gone…

We at Blue Blood like beards… We’ve always liked beards. Some of our biggest heroes such as Julian Schnabel, Vincent Gallo, Patrick Petit Jean, Dash Snow and even our own guys PJ and Jarno having sporting beards for a while.
Appearantly beards are the next best thing out there.

We at Blue Blood owe our name to our love for Denim and the indigo that we have coursing through our veins. We are glad we are not alone and that there are a handful of ‘geeks’ like us out there. Cotton Duck is one the most prominent Denim Heads on the internet. We are extra proud of him since next to his Denim obsession he also shares our home town Amsterdam. Samuel better known as Cotton Duck finally put up his own blog.
Guess we will be spending even longer hours gazing at our screens… Check it out! Or should we say… Stay away! Don’t get sucked in! Be aware of the consequences… Here’s a preview:

We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

We bumped into an old friend of ours, Yamandu on the great Tenue De Nimes blog. It mentioned his new photography project called Europeans. In his red Peugot 205 he explored the streets of Europe and photographed what inspired him about Europeans.

To see the entire collection of “Europeans”, have a look in his website.
BB loves his imagery.

It is amazing how many Lego inspired gadgets pop-up. One of the most adored toys by children is now used in adult life in all kinds of playful ways. At first Lego conquered the runway. It was first noticed at the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 show. It appeared on the models as brooches, headband details, etc.

Lego style has apparently been absorbed by the furniture and home decorating industry, we spotted a sofa, a kitchen counter and table and chair legs.

This sofa is made up of several rubberized foam pieces shaped like Lego. If you are bored with the old design, simply re-arrange the various pieces to form a new look.

There is even a USB hub shaped like Lego..

The furniture above is made with actual Lego pieces.
We advice you to keep an eye on this trend.
Maybe you should even ask your mom to get you old Lego from the attic so you can get creative!

All the way from Japan Blue Blood now offers Free & Easy and Lightning amongst her magazines in the P.C. Hooftstraat shop. The magazines are much sought-after by denim lovers and purists. The term magazine is hardly sufficient for these monthly libraries of denim and other “blue” inspired items. These stylebooks feature articles and photo’s of authentic vintage clothing, shoes, outerwear, bikes and the collectors of all these goods. The books are inspired by American vintage but executed in a typical Japanese way. For topics think of styles inspired by military, US college life and the great outdoors. The leading denim magazines are rarely seen outside of Japan, they are a must for anyone who admires the Japanese denim and vintage scene. It is a definitive guide to Japans denim brands.
Get your hands on one now! You can leave your contact details if you want to sign up for a monthly copy. We will call you when the new issue arrives and keep one to the side by request.
I can hear the indigo coursing through your veins, so run!
